Bella

This small series is based on some photos I shot around my neighborhood on the day we said goodbye to our beloved cat, Bella. It's hard to express why, but I felt compelled to capture some of the essence of what was her last day. It's been well over a year now, and I still think about that little beast every day—our baby girl who never grew up, but instead, grew old with us.

The trouble with working with so much shadow and 3/4 tone is that it's hard to know if the work reads well in different environments. If you're seeing what amounts to a black rectangle with a vague shape in it, do me a favor and let me know. I may have to tweak the curves on this. Then I'll see how it prints...
